Nutcracker Santa Stand-up

This octagon-shaped Christmas stand-up is made from the Nutcracker Santa needlepoint canvas designed by Shelly Tribbey and stitched by Pam Trucco of Santa Rosa, CA. It is approximately 6 1/2 inches wide and 6 1/2 inches high. The entire front of the stand-up is the stitched canvas, with the back and sides covered in red silk dupioni.

A red-and-white silk ribbon about 1 1/2 inches wide is applied to the sides along with decorative snowflake charms, sequins and beads. The edges are trimmed with red-and-white hand-made twisted cording. The stand-up rests on four gold balls and, as a finishing touch, is topped with a red and a green bow.
